Alli and Reid are two people that will always hold such a special place in my heart. They were one of the first couples to book me for a wedding almost 3 years ago. Alli and Reid originally planned their wedding for the Spring of 2020 – but we all know why that didn’t come to fruition. Instead, they opted to have an intimate ceremony on a hillside with just their parents April 16, 2020 and officially began their lives as a married couple. On their 2 year wedding anniversary, they finally had the chic outdoor wedding in Paso Robles, California at The Grace Maralyn Estate they had been dreaming of.
Alli and Reid had been so patient waiting for this day to come. At the end of the day, it was so beautiful to see them surrounded by their people who just wanted to celebrate them was such a beautiful scene. In the 2 years of their marriage, they welcomed a little boy who was a sweet addition to their celebration. The entire day was filled with joy and gratitude to finally have the wedding they deserved. One of my favorite parts of Alli and Reid’s wedding day was after their first look! Not only did the first look include the best reaction (thanks to Reid), but we were able to knock out alllll of their formal pictures before the ceremony. Because of this, the couple was actually able to enjoy their cocktail hour, rather than having to spend time after their ceremony taking formals.
After the first dances, a few speeches, and indulging in food truck food… I was able to steal Alli and Reid for some incredible sunset photos. The venue they had selected a few years ago seriously blew us away the entire day. There was a wide open field of golden, fluffy grass that just begged to be romped around in. The love that radiated from Alli and Reid made the moment that much more special to capture. At the top of the hillside, was the most beautiful little grove of trees that made for a stunning accent to the landscape. I love when the beauty of nature intertwines with the connection between a couple… Have I mentioned I have the best job, yet?!
This long-awaited Paso Robles, California chic outdoor wedding was worth the years of planning and dreaming. I couldn’t possibly feel more honored to not only have had this couple as one of my first wedding clients, but also to have them as lifelong friends. I can’t wait to watch their love continue to shine and flourish.
