Retro Santa Ana, California Wedding

Vanessa and Shane’s downtown retro Santa Ana, California wedding at the Estate on 2nd was the absolute definition of classic. In addition to Venessa’s beautiful satin, off-the-shoulder dress, Shane’s shades, and all of the swing dancing in between… there were so many sweet details throughout their wedding day. This was such a fun day to capture.

The Venue

The Estate on 2nd was the perfect wedding venue for Vanessa and Shane’s big day. The building is a historical building in Santa Ana, California dating back to 1923. However, it’s a fairly new Orange County wedding venue. The exposed beams, red brick, and dark hardwood floors add so much character to the space; perfect for an elegant, timeless wedding. With that being said, my personal favorite feature of the venue are the beautiful arched windows that let in the most beautiful natural light. 

The Wedding Day

As if the venue wasn’t enough, Vanessa and Shane’s first look was such an intimate moment to witness. No one was prepared for all the tears that were falling. After a beautiful ceremony, complete with stunning floral arrangements courtesy of the maid of honor, I was able to steal the couple away for some flash romantics. The flash photos added so much to the classic vibes of the day. After we wrapped up the flash photos, it was time for the reception! Their music was a mix of classic Elvis songs mixed in with some modern hits. In other words, they might have had the best wedding soundtrack I’ve ever heard. Vanessa and Shane are huge lovers of swing dance; it was so much fun to watch them dance their hearts out at their reception. 

Vanessa and Shane, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to tell your story. Your day felt like it was straight out of a movie. Everything at your wedding reflected who you are and what your relationship is about. Your day was filled with class, intentionality, and romance. I wish you both the best as you enter into your marriage with your forever dance partner.
